Seems strange that after all this time there are people in one of our lives who don't know the other one. Nonetheless, for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting us both, here is a bit about us.
Rachel grew up in Tennessee and got her BFA in Graphic Design from UT-Knoxville. She currently works at USA WEEKEND Magazine where she is the Newspaper Marketing Manager.
Joe started out in Tennessee and moved to Maryland with his mom when he was about 10. He went to UT-Knoxville as well and played lacrosse, which is how he and Rachel met. Joe currently works as a Project Manager in the Multi-family Housing group at AHC Inc., a company that develops affordable housing in the DC area.
Rachel and Joe live together with their miniature chocolate Dachshund, Henry Wagsworth Longfellow, in Arlington, VA.

It may be TN's loss (sorry Joe, I suspect those words make you cringe), but Arlington has gained a fantastic couple. As friends and neighbors of Joe and Rachel, the Hegg family is thrilled to hear they will tie the knot. Not only are Joe and Rachel big fans of our kids, but they always invite our bulldog Boris over to play with "the brown bullet” (aka Henry). Our best wishes to the happy couple from N. VA.
